Why We Built Factory Black
The studio exists because too many founders get burned by agencies that overpromise and underdeliver. We wanted to build something different.

We have seen the same story play out dozens of times. A founder with a genuine vision gets quoted $40k for a brand identity, waits three months, and receives a logo that looks like it was made in Canva. Or worse, they get something technically competent but completely soulless. Something that could belong to any company in any industry.
The agency model is broken. Not because agencies are filled with bad people, but because the incentive structures reward the wrong behaviours. Bill by the hour, and suddenly every project needs more hours. Promise the moon to win the pitch, then scramble to deliver anything at all.
A different approach
Factory Black operates on fixed pricing with transparent scope. You know exactly what you are getting and exactly what it costs before we start. No surprise invoices, no scope creep negotiations, no awkward conversations about budget overruns.
Our blueprints are productised offerings. Identity. Presence. Launch. Each one is a defined package with clear deliverables and a three-week timeline. Pick the one that matches your stage, add any extras you need, and we get to work.
The best work happens when both sides know exactly what they are building together.
Why the droid?
You might have noticed we have a robot handling initial conversations. That is intentional. We built the droid to handle the parts of client interaction that do not require human creativity: answering pricing questions, explaining our services, generating quotes.
This frees up our actual humans to do the work that matters. Strategy, design, development. The things that require taste and judgment and experience. The droid handles the admin so we can focus on the craft.
What we believe
- Good design is not decoration. It is communication.
- Speed and quality are not mutually exclusive if you have the right systems.
- Every founder deserves access to world-class brand work, not just the ones with venture backing.
- Transparency builds trust. Hidden pricing destroys it.
If that resonates, we should talk. The droid is ready when you are.
